Vauxhall Brava pick up, what am I missing?

Why are these thing fetching so much money, even if they appear to be fit for the scrap yard? I acquired one recently with a view to getting it MOTd and used as a work wagon. Anyway, after a look on eBay, (and two pages of MOT failures)! I noticed some of these vans well in excess of £1000 which were non runners, and decent ones fetching double that again! So out of interest I listed mine on eBay this morning and listed the MOT failures, mainly welding/fuel and brake pipes/rear bushes/lazy servo and some othe minor issues, within 50 minutes it had been bid up to £1300! At this sort of money I'm gonna let it go for a quick profit but why are they fetching so much money?
