What bearings do I need?
Discussion
Evening all,
The rear hub on my dads 2008 Specialized Allez has packed in due to knackered bearings (I stripped down the hub after it stopped free wheeling) however I've misplaced the bearings by putting them in a safe place
and having never replaced them before don't know what to ask for in the shop.
Could anyone advise? The hub is a Specialized forged alloy 28 hole hub with double sealed ball bearings

assuming they are sealed cartridge bearings, you could try www.bted.co.uk or measure the hub and take a punt on ebay, loads of sealed cartridge bearings there, i have used www.bearingboys.co.uk before
alternatively, a new Shimano Tiagra hub on a Mavic Open Pro Rim is £40 from Dave Hinde which may seem like an extravagance when all it needs is new bearings but would be a fantastic upgrade and be far better a hub/rim combo than the OEM parts.
