I don't know about Aberdeen but I paid £16.40 at Glasgow Royal Infirmary yesterday to park for the day.It wasn't untill after I'd paid I found out they only charge £15 for a lost ticket, and I'll need to do it all again today and possibly the rest of the week.
Is it just for this week? I used to work around there so can tell you where you can usually park for nothing if you don't mind a 5/10 min walk.

I park at College St. Free parking for me as the camera doesn't pick up my registration plate
I'm the same. Used to pick up my illegally spaced plate without issue but now that I've changed it to the legal version it would appear to be unable to sense my arrival! I have just been honest tho and paid my £1 by telling the machine how long I was in.

Parking charges are nuts like and the city are in the midst of some kind of shake down as well the wardens are on overtime. I also read in the citizen that they are lifting any car that is parked that has outstanding fines on it, how much true there is in that remains to be seen, could just be scaremongering.

I know of a couple decent parking spots in town, but not saying as need them
Carpark under the 'Park Inn' hotel on Justice Mill Lane is quite good.
Is this the one you told me about near your work?

If i'm in town, normally go to Union Square, as it's probably the cheapest I know of.
Also, Palmerston Road, on street parking, as it's free, but chances of getting a space down there is very slim.
