Xsara Picasso dashboard

SWMBO has an 02 Picasso and the digital dash doesn't 'glow' as brightly as it should. In fact the speedo often can't be read and thesat nav has to be used as a speedo.
Sometimes when you hit the dashboard it brightens up again.
Any suggestions and is it easy to fix?

Sounds like a blown dash bulb in the speedo cluster, obviously to fix it you need to remove the binnacle and replaced the offending bulbs.
