I've defected...don't tell the Cerb owners...

After being without a TVR for the last couple of years I decided I couldn't take it any longer so I have joined the Griff 500 camp. I did consider another 4.5 Cerbera as my last car was fantastic but decided that I wanted something a little more classic sports car rather than race car.
I have only covered 300 miles or so over the two weeks of ownership but they have been great, the roof hasn't come out the boot yet. The car is much smoother and quieter than the cerb was and also much more drivable at low revs. I can drive down the local pub without setting off parked car alarms and making small children cry as my Cerb did on every outing whilst popping and banging along spitting 2-3 foot flames out the back. Also, I have noticed that I don't really want to drive the car fast, it feels more of a relaxed easy drive cruising about at 2000rpm rather than screaming along at 6-7000.
I know at some point I will be along to ask questions when the inevitable issues occur but for now all seems well. Here is a pic (these sort of posts needs a pic), she is a low mileage 98 Griffith 500 in fantastic condition inside and out (and more importantly underneath).
One thing I would like to change (and don't crucify me) is the wheels. I like the current ones but I love the chrome look ones on the 4.3s. Does anyone know what sort of money we are talking for a set of these and if they are easily available or would I have more luck hunting down some hens teeth?

I'm not sure - I should check the owners manual. It is a metallic dark blue that looks a little lighter in the flesh than in the photo above. All I know is that it is the colour I was looking for with a magnolia interior. I took my time to find the exact car I was looking for as it is going to be a long term keeper - hopefully well into my retirement (which is about 30 years away!).Is the colour Starmist Blue? The wheels you mention are the original OZ cross spokes. Fantastic looking wheel but unfortunately like rocking horse poo. I tried to find a full set of 16's for my SE ( some SEs came with these wheels others on 4 x 16" Estorils ). Not a hope.
There are a few of us meeting up this weekend for a little Griff get together near Stratford. Should be 2 or 3 cars there I would think
It is compulsory to make at least 1 of the 3 days at The Growl every year now you own one you know

Let me know if you're selling the wheels, may even do a swap deal on some Estorils if that's what your after. If you can make it to the Growl this weekend then you will be made most welcome. Good chance to see 100+ Griffs and get some ideas of what to spend your money on. Some decent discounts from the traders there too.
There may be a double room available Saturday night so if interested let me know - no not mine for everyone else reading this.

Yes, after having a browse on here I saw you are having a little get together this weekend. I will try and arrange babysitters for my little ones, should know if an overnight is possible by this evening. I plan on keeping my Griff unmodified and would want the original wheels still. Plus, the originals are unmarked and I don't know how rare they will become in the future if trying to replace at a later date.

Double room available for Saturday (see post posted at same time as you posted this by Del). Otherwise hotel is full. Hope you can make it.
500 wheels are Estorils so the OZ's aren't original. Estorils go for more money than the OZ's generally and although they may look good chances are the bolts need replacing as they rust where you can't see and become like spindles. They are around £2-£2.50 each so x 130 is a fair whack. Let me know anyway as I'll probably sell one set of the Estorils at some point and would be interested in another set of OZ's.
