Recommended garage south east london?

Hi all,
I'd be very grateful for any recommended garages nr crystal palave/sydenham area.
I don't.mind travelling a bit but don't want to have to pay main dealer prices for servicing.

I have used a mechanic called Clifton Oddman in Brixton. If you google his name you will find him. I like his style - he is not cheap but neither is he main dealer prices and he is a BMW specialist.

In terms of servicing costs, I think he would probably compare quite favourably and there is no harm in calling him for a price.

I cant help but mention Autoclinic in this post. They were based on Cawnpore Street, SE19. Sadly the mechanic died racing his motorbike about 8 years ago and his garage was sold to developers. He was the best, cheapest and friendliest mechanic I have ever met. It's a wonder he kept going - he would routinely do work for nothing. Even when my wife pranged our car and went to Dave in a panic because she knew I would be annoyed (!) he spent the entire afternoon depranging it to the extent that the damage was barely visible and then refused to charge her for the work because it had been "an accident". Sorry, I digress but Dave of Autoclinic, what a bloke: RIP.

Thanks for that Ill google him.. really good to hear a positive story about your other mechanic and sorry to hear of his death..
