Fined for using parent and child space

Ok the story is more about the fact the guy ran down the parking attendant and was jailed. But is that fine for parking in a parent and child space actually enforceable?

If I see anyone illegally/immorally parking in a P&C space, I empty one of my 2 yr old's full nappies on their bonnet (or on the driving seat if they are daft enough to leave the window/door open).

He's the sort of person who pisses me off on the roads, he parks in the wrong space knowing that and cant accept the consequences, he deserves the fine in my opinion, and a bit more for 'attacking' the car park attendant.

Seems a little excessive. Do you carry used nappies around specifically for this purpose or are they just ones you had to hand? And do you feel that this is an appropriate example to set your children at such an influential age - that wanton vandalism is perfectly acceptable in the face of such selfish behaviour?

What if the driver then came back out of the store with a small child in tow, having perhaps met their partner inside to collect the child whilst they carried on shopping? Would you offer to pay for the cleaning costs as the mistake was yours?

I see this as a perfectly reasonable retalliation - similar to breaking someone's legs if they park in a disabled space but aren't disabled. It gives a little bit of a flavour of the life of a parent/disabled person that has the right to use that space, and they have decided that they have the right to deprive them of that right.

If you park in a P&C space, that means someone with children will have to park in the normal spaces. The innocent motorist parked next to them will come back to their car to find it peppered with Picasso door dings.

Didn't a previous thread mention this happening to a 911 convertible driver when he parked in a P&C space? Only he actually had a baby with him, just took the seat out to go shopping.

People are really quick to decide whether someone has a child with them based on the car; I once got back to mine (normal four door saloon, but with a sport bodykit) slightly before my son and his mum, and got tutting and angry looks from a woman parked nearby.

Yes, teaching your child it is OK to commit criminal damage in retaliation for an assumed infringement of a private companies parking rules is a great lesson for your kids. . . . . .
