thanks for this, i have had a couple of quotes but people give you the thought that you should not change the basics of the car, so i am still unsure.

There will be no cutouts for the speaker behind the door panel, unless you have them currently. The original Porsche aftermarket kit added speaker boxes on the door panel itself.

You might be better upgrading the dashboard units to something decent like Focal, Diamond or the better MB Quarts and looking at something in the storage boxes by the roll hoops.

Any decent car audio shop can advise - by decent I don't mean the stack 'em hi, sell 'em cheap warehouses. Try somewhere upmarket first (like www.sqplus.com) to get the options clear, then shop round for the components and a top installer.

on a similar subject:

...Has anyone installed the additional speaker between the 2 headrests?
(the 1 that fits in the storage space).

I got the sound pack but still find it a bit 'weak'... maybe someone tried it?

Any comments / advice appreciated...

The Porsche dealer who i bought the car from (Hamburg) said i could not get it through Porsche official network & that he did not recommand it (warranty etc...)...

You can buy a Profesional speaker conversion which fit in the doors www.proaccustics.co.uk or 01924488824 for details.
or you can have a sub fitted in passenger footwell with an amp etc price according to quality of gear.
I am thinking about having this optionn

I've installed the PNP rear speaker pack and am impressed with results...go onto boxa.net and search for "rear speaker" and you'll find lots of info, instructions and pictures.

I generally do take them out at trackdays, just to stop them getting shoogled to bits (look that up in your English-French dictionary).

Have been considering taking out the passenger seat also

But I suppose I'd get more effect if I just went on a diet
