ND Graduated Versus Grad grey
Discussion
Hi everyone,
I am a new member so hello to all!
I am interested in getting some Cokin style square "P" filters and am interested in the graduated types for reducing bright skies etc. My question is whats the different between the ND graduated filters and the filters I've seen around that are just grey coloured?
Are they and can they be used for the same thing?
Cheers!

Yes, the idea of Neutral Density filters is that they simply reduce the amount of light getting through, but do it evenly across the spectrum; they don't make the image actually appear grey. Useful for when you can't ge a fast enough shutter-speed or small enough aperture for the correct exposure.
Borrowed some of these the other day

Top notch gear, but pricey.
