Bit gutted, I've seen a nice burr walnut dash but it turns out its for the laster Chims so it has the extra warning light hole, what was this extra warning light for? was it Ice Alert or something? I know I could buy it and fit it but I really want an alloy one really which brings me onto my next question:
I was recently looking at the interior of a Griffith 500 and the dash was bloody lovely, it was an alloy one but with a wavey pattern/relief but I've never seen anything similar for the Chim, am I right in saying that the pattern on the Leven dashboards is smooth like its been etched in or am I wrong?

The dash you have seen is a Leven one, they do look great but I think Leven is out of stock at the moment but worth giving them a ring.

ad infinitum....

What the Griffith and Chimaera Leven dashboards had a different finish? this was a horizontal lace pattern I saw that was texured whereas the only ones I've seen from Leven have a square chequered pattern that looks like its smooth like its been etched in to the metal, anyone got a close-up of a Leven dash?

I recently got a Leven one, second hand but never used, it has the lace effect which is textured and not smooth, will try to get you a pic later and post it for you.

Thanks alot for that, its not the same pattern/finish as I saw in the Griffith though which was a textured basket-weave finish, ah well, praps they're not available.

It must have been a specially made dash, the Leven one is very cool though. I am having my old dash re veneered by a very skilled cabinet maker I know in the next couple of weeks as although the Leven one I have looks very nice I don't think it fits in with my interior trim so going back to wood. will let you know how it turns out as I am sure he will do other peoples if anyone is interested.

Home made? Its easy enough, just done mine in carbon fibre. Not a difficult job; just takes a day of fiddling carefully.

Looks like the above piccie is a piece of something you could buy in B&Q, cut to size etc and then, possibly, varnished? Looks good, IMHO.
