What a bummer of a job.... and free at that!

The lad next door is a typical 17/18 year old - struggling with insurance (£2500) on a Nova 1.2, but a decent kid.....
Anyway, he decided to de-lock the passenger side door, filled it and painted it with Hammerite of all things! Worse, he just slapped it on and got runs everywhere. So being a soft touch I offered to help him sort it out. Spent ages sanding all the gunge off the door, then filled and smoothed the de-locked area properly, masked it all up and primed it, all looked very good.
Until we attempted to paint it with the can of crap paint he'd had mixed up at Halfrauds that is.
Came out really streaky, so ended up doing it again with some other crud that the kid bought somewhere else....
Yup, streaky again.
So finally got some decent stuff today, masked it all up, sprayed it, lacquered it and looking lovely. Paint still soft and a bit tacky so I carefully de-masked the car - looking good.
I wandered away to put the tape and paper into the bin and the kid is only faffing about with the sealing strip around the window..... with his knee pressed firmly against the new, wet, paint!
So, should I make a formal request to his parents to have his b
ks removed from the (potential) gene pool?
