Anyone know what this is, obviously not a schedule flight from the airport, going far too vertical for that

Looks like something at high altitude and although appearing to be going upwards, may just be coming towards you from a distance.

Judging by the fact it has a vapour trail behind it, I would suggest it is at 25,000 feet plus, and not something that has just departed an airport.

Apologies for the thread hijack, I was down in St Ives in June and saw this. Apparently it is called a light diffusion trail cause by the plane moving through the air/light relecting on the moisture. Never seen one before smile
