I'm getting back into mountain bikes after a 14 year gap, mainly to undo 14 years of drink and pies!

Things have moved on a fair bit (as you'd imagine) and I'm a bit out of my depth with specs and options.
I can spend up to around £1000, hard tails seem to offer better quality than full suspension for the money.

The Revoloution bike seems to have good stuff fitted for the price.

Is there anything about this that's crap?
I'll be using it for forest trails to start with then moving more into hills and bumpier stuff as I get fitter.

a nicely specced bike, they have actually thought about what components to spend the money on rather than the shiny things that draw people in. they look like they placed a priority on good frame, forks and wheels then found the rest...

Foreword - I used to sell these, however no longer attached - nothing other than honest advice.

The Triads are pretty good, all in.
Frames are very nice - first iteration was a touch flexy but has been updated since.

Manufactured by Merida - hence the high quality (This is the same factory your Rockhopper frame will come out of) with Intgrated headtube etc.

Cleverly - the sizes are slightly different to the Rockhopper too (That being a 'target' bike when these were developed).

Good spec, focused on the important bits - Frame, Fork, Wheels etc.

I'm not going to say 'it blows everything else into the weeds' because no bike does - its simply too tight a market for that.

However they are excellent value, well made, by a great company. If the size and feel is right for you, go for it.
