From Dust - XBLA
Discussion
Anyone else? I downloaded this last night, 1200 MS Points. Getting 9/10 in most reviews and I have to say I can see it being exceptionally addictive.
Brief synopsis is you're a deity of sorts with the power to reshape land (sand, lava etc) to the benefit and protection from the elements (the tsunamis are fantastic!) of your followers.
Think Populous on the Amiga and you're part way there. Good old school stuff.

From Dust is fantastic and great value!
Its not without its flaws but for a bit over a tenner you get a beautiful and very compelling god game/physics simulation.
I was lucky/unlucky enough to be off work sick last week and spent two day completing it.
Potentially a mouse and keyboard would make life a bit easier but i didn't find the XB controls to be particularly bad. It was certainly nice to watch all that water/lava/earth doing its stuff on a 46" TV instead of a monitor!
A lot of reviews are bemoaning the lack of a 'sandbox' mode to play with but actually in the last level you get pretty much infinite scope/powers to build the land from scratch...
There's something strangely soothing about watching water gradually flood your lands, forming new rivers and deltas! Love it!
