Hello fine people of Pistonheads,
I somehow managed to damage at the same time the tendons on the inside of the ankle that runs behind the bone that goes us the front of the calf. I did this back in April and although I am going to weekly physio and doing the stretches reccomended which I will detail below I still have pain and I get a cold shooting pain when I do weights stood up.
The stretchs I was advised to do which have made it's lots better if the stand on my tips toes and lean forward and back and also to sit with my feet hanging and turn the bottoms of my feet towards me so I can see the soles if that makes sense.
Anybody have any tips for healing quicker? This seems like a very long time to heal.

I've had it in a few places (both elbows and hip)- It takes forever to heal unfortunately. Stretching, anti inflams, ice and deep massage help speed it up though. Unfortunately rest it the quickest way to sort it out....
I tried resting for quite a while and it seemed to get a little better but as soon as I started the exercises it got a lot better and now it has sort of stayed the same for the last couple of weeks. I've been doing upper body exercise trying to avoid pressure and twisting of the joints etc but do you think something like boxing training or circuit training would aggrevate it or help? Can't afford to be injured again, far to depressing not being ableto exercise.Shinobi said:

I'm no expert on these matters I'm afraid. Is there a particular movement that's causing it?didelydoo said:

Not really, my Physio said the ankles actually do alot when your standing up doing weight i.e stability. It seems to be when I'm stood up doing barbell curls although I'm pretty sure my form is good and definatly no swinging as I'm doing very light weights at the moment.Gassing Station | Health Matters | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
