Sorry to re-post PH Towers but I want all the help I can get;

Folks, need your help please....

I live in NW London and the TVR is parked on the street with an annually paid residents permit. The wcensoreds from Camden council have towed my P&J away this morning (I'm not sure what damage this has caused yet - hopefully none) because they have changed a whole line of the residents parking bays into Parking Mon, Tue, Wed and Fri for residents and now on Thursday's they are suspended for market traders.

I have not had any communication about this and have had the car there several times previously.

I will be visiting the pound later and trying not to kill them but will want to claim pound fee's and any damage caused by the removal - what are my options and what do I need to check that they might of damaged?

Cheers
Skipe.

I presume they didn't refund you 1/5 of the permit cost? Piss boilers!

Check the exhausts - mine scrape like hell if the nose of the car is lifted.

Would be even worse if they have rolled it backwards off a truck to get it off, as obviously they may catch and be pushed backwards towards engine..?

Camden use lifters for all removals so no risk in that regard.

Re the legality: A crappy little jobsworth will have put the correct information flyers up within the legal parameters.

Whether you could argue that only a fking wierdo would walk up and down their street each day checking for and reading any smallprint, white, laminated sign that may just have been stuck up and as such, Camden have defamed your character by effectively believing you are a fking oddball and financially punishing you for being normal, is another matter.

I do have to say though that Camden are the least loony left and/or punitive of all the London boroughs. Try Westminster or Brent, those are seriously professional aholes.

Hope there's no damage to your car skipe.
Hackney council were forever towing vehicles away from the street where I had used to live, despite the residents having valid parking permits. They would use the excuse of roadmarking, or chaning light bulbss on streetlamps etc, but I reckon it was just a way of creating revenue for having to retrieve your vehicle.
