Richard Sachs has to be in with a shout. Currently he won't take orders from new customers and if you happen to be an existing customer after a new frame, you can expect to join a 7 to 8 year waiting list!
The Venge hardly counts when you Simga Sport have the frameset in stock. They have one showing on at £2500 too and if that's right, then it's not even expensive.
Edit: Seems there is a non-McLaren version of the Venge, but even the Mclaren one is available to order and less than a top end Cervelo.

Dave Yates. If you are lucky you will get some beard stubble as well.
The Venge is just another carbon fibre bike, albeit a very, very good one using the experience of an F1 team, its probably the best bike out there in terms of stiffness to weight but lets not delude ourselves into thinking that its a "Mclaren" bike because its still made in Specialized's Taiwanese factory like the rest of the worlds carbon fibre bikes. I really can say I wouldnt want one.

Nah, there's been 3 Yates bikes listed on Ebay this month alone, two not even selling.
I had a place booked on his frame building course, waited ages for it to come around, but then something came up and I had to pull out
I was gutted and was just thinking yesterday about signing up again.

there are hundreds of frames out there with dave yates stickers on the side, usually old crates made from gas pipes, resprayed and with fresh stickers so i wonder just how many are actually dave yates built. its like saying an ac cobra isnt exclusive because there are laods of replicas around. My mate Trev with a MIG welding rig in his shed
Or maybe a Pegoretti
But Pegs are rather more common than Trevs bodges so not as 'exclusive'
What are you getting at?
I ride a late 80's Colnago and lots of bikey people make a bee line for it and all the carbon bikes don't get a look in so was just wondering what the forum thought was exclusive or would stand out in a crowd?Or maybe a Pegoretti
