Mine's just arrived this morning, the £80 suction one, just tried it on the office door but it seems to lose a bit of suction whether that is down to the door or not I don't know, anyone else use one?

Thanks Ted, just used the search facility and found a guy that gets great results with this very mount at 125 mph, that'll do for me!!

I use this and have had no problems. It does need a smooth surface such as glass or car body work to say put, I think a wooden door may let air leak in.

I have used mine both inside the car on the front windscreen of a Griff for both video and stills. I have also used it outside of the car as in this thread:

Jason is right. Once you get it on, it tends to stay put, I left mine stuck to the kitchen window for a week and it stayed fine. On the Griff's window because of the curve in the glass it does need occasional pumps to keep the mount attached, but you can tell this as the red line reappears on the pump.

Other than that my only advise is clean the window (makes sense if you are shooting through it ) and make sure the suction mount is clean and free of bits that could disrupt the seal, I use some silicon rubber cleaner for the cars window seals and it works a treat.
