They'll be happy to pay, whatever he gets will be a fraction of the extra dough they made from his face.

And it won't have the slightest impact on how they behave next time.

Anyone remember the numerous posts on here, saying it was obvious he did it because of the way he looked?

He deserves every penny he gets. I for one hope that the Sun and Mirror are prosecuted for contempt of court. The way they and others went after him was disgusting.

Some people really do look the way they are and others they don't. Simple lesson in life about books and covers that was drummed into me by my parents.

Surely there should be some PHers coming along in a minute to point out that everyone is after "compo" nowadays and people should only get compensation to make up for lost earnings.

£50 says it's the landlord.

1. He knew boyfriend was away
2. He has keys
3. He looks the type to obsess about his pretty blonde tenant
4. She'd let him in as she knew him
Indeed.

And he's volunteered some apparently useful info, it seems, which would help throw them off the scent - wonder how vague the description of the two people is, and whether anyone else saw them together?

Shall I open a book? Who wants money on the landlord; would appear he is currently the favourite.

The Police are clearly holding back a lot of information, possibly with an eye to freaking out someone that they suspect...perhaps this has just happened?

It would be interesting to know if the LL's info was released BY the Police or whether he has gone to the media himself?

" New CCTV of murdered Joanna Yeates is released as her landlord reportedly tells police of a possible last sighting. "

This is how Sky are running with the claims of the landlord - seems to be phrased in an interesting way using "possible" and "reportedly".

There are many, many more, but perhaps the most pertinent is this:

The landlord is rapidly being developed by the press into a suspect, interesting development but potentially hugely prejudicial to a fair trial!

A friend of my girlfriend knows him as a family friend (so incredibly tenuous connection to me). Apparently his life was made an absolute misery after his face was plastered across the papers.

He had to leave the area and basically go into hiding with family miles away. Friend of GF says he's one of the nicest, kindest most generous people he has ever met. He just happens to look a bit 'odd'.

If a quick search of PH using the term "'Jo Yeates' Landlord" and finding your jaundiced view at the top of the list of results pays decent money, then I'll take that job. But otherwise, no, I'd rather not read the second-hand views of the Daily Mail.

I think him being targeted, harassed and having his life turned upside down and inside out was his lottery win, oh that lucky bd!

If true, quite sad.
