Good Mafia films
Discussion
Stick with tradition and it has to be The Godfather.
It was the genesis moment in modern cinema for the breed with fabulously rich characterisation.
Like Star Wars in 1977, its genius resides as much in its contemporary impact and subsequent resonance as any originality of content and style.

Once Upon a Time in the West - Very long and parts are drawn out but well worth a watch if you haven't seen it.
Did you possible get mixed up with "Once upon a time in America"?. One is a mafia film, the other is a western, though I suppose there were such things as cowboy Mafioso. Gangster No.1 - Pretty uinpleasent in places but pretty good
The Bank Job - Watched this recently and found it surprisingly good
Killing Zoe - Saw it years back and really enjoyed it
Layer Cake - Very good
Get Carter - Treat yourself to the original and best with Caine at his darkest
Reservoir Dogs - Doesn't matter how many times I watch this, it's still great
Not so much mafia, more gangster.
