Re conditioned steering rack- what else to do?

Hi guys,
Got power steering leaks going on.Got fluid/oil on underneath & fluid dripping from drivers side gaitor.The Mrs is going nuts coz its messing up the drive .It's starting to look like something Tony Hart would do in Vision On!

If it turns out I need a need a new rack,is there anything I should or would be a good idea to change/upgrade while I'm at it.In for a penny ,in for a pound(lots of em by the looks of things).

If it's not the hoses or the hose connectors, then a steering rack refurb is £400 plus the cost to remove and refit, circa a further £400 if you can't do it yourself, not sure if upgrades are available for the system.

I have recently replaced my exhausted steering rack with a Tuscan rack. I haven't had the geometry and tracking done yet, but it feels positive.

I had previously had the Cerbera rack refurbished, but wasn't overly impressed either with the immediate result, or the fact that around one year, it started failing and leaking.

I do have a Tuscan rack if you are interested, but it will probably still need a refurb.

Yes I had my rack refurbed but leaking soon after. Is the Tuscan rack a direct swop? And if it is what would you want for it?

Seems quite a few people have had the same issues with refurbed racks not being up to the job.I've been recommended to go to a place in B'ham- Kiley Clinton.

Further away than KC, but RaceProved did mine and so far the repair has lasted well over a year (Jackwibble owns the car now)

Hi Bob can confirm rack very positive and still going strong (touching wood very quickly) Raceproved top outfit if not too far away from you, other dealers are available.

Try Power Steering Direct in Greenwich.

Picked up my chim rack today that KC couldn't fix.

They are trade only so print up a letterhead!
They have their own machine shop to make up worn bushes ect when obsolete.

Price, £150ish

IIRC Raceproved use Kiley-CLinton - someone corect me if I'm wrong.
