Northbound, clockwise - lots of delays, from J19 to 24 and massive queue up to the Dartford crossing (20 miles!!), also a very very long queue anti-clockwise on the south stretch. I hope this message saves at least one person from getting stuck!

I was going to do J16 to J29 later on, but with a current total of 2.5hrs delay, I think I'll leave it for a while frown

Well yes, but tonight especially, unless you really fancy sitting in your car going nowhere for three hours.

As the M25 is back to J27 and supposedly under the new rules they can open the tolls if it back to J28 the barriers are, I presume, all up?

If you've seen my rant in the Lounge you'd understand.

Although it's a little out of date, if you sum the length of the queues the BBC travel site lists for right now, there's 75 miles of queues - nearly a third of the total length of the entire motorway (in both directions). It's normally really bad on a Friday, but today it's especially bad.

The bds didn't do this a few Sunday's back when I was queuing for over 2 hours. Get through the tolls, and zero traffic. s. furious

Aaah see the schools where I am are already off on holiday, I expected the worst traffic to have been last Friday, going on what happened the last few years. So I've overlooked something e.g. schools closing at different times.

bds. They should be getting rid of the charge altogether.

They couldn't care less about congestion or pollution could they? When I am king they will be first against the wall.
