A320 funny noises

Can anyone tell me what makes that odd electrical hunting noise on taxiing? it sounds like someone hacking away with a very large hacksaw, I'm guessing it's a hydraulic pump

I think its hydraulic things or flaps, they are noisy on that model of plane for some reason.

These odd noises on aircraft do annoy me though, they keep me awake.

It is the "power transfer unit" PTU, used to balance the pressure in hydraulic systems if they aren't at a similar level.

My accountant has a very neglected Rover 620 with a knackered ABS pump so it keeps making a mooing noise, if that helps?

I always thought it was a dog barking in hold 4...
On every flight and very regular. Seems to get very agitated on engine start

I heard a similar noise on a 757 which was taxiing prior to take off. It was quite loud where I was sat, looking out over the left wing.
