Had planned to go to the ring for the first time this year, but work commitments meant missed out (again). The closest I get is practicing on GT5 for next year. Thought it might be interesting to have our own virtual leader-board. Here our mine.

time car PP tyres? date wheel/cont? t/c + aids
4:26.284 Redbull X2010 TBC r/s 01.04.2011 s/w off
5:55.455 Audi R10 Tdi TBC r/s 10.04.2011 s/w off
6:00.830 Minolta Toyota TBC r/s 13.04.2011 s/w off
6:05.320 Minolta Toyota TBC r/s 12.07.2011 cont off
6:53.632 Merc SLS TBC r/s 12.07.2011 cont off

Don't have a s/w at the moment so back to using a controller but I'm quicker with a s/w.

  • its a tad fiddley to do the tables, sure you could just post text if you'd rather. Let me know if you think i've missed anything?

If the steering wheel is worth 5 seconds per lap then perhaps I should invest in one for the next GT5 championship hehe

This table is a good idea, but I think there are too many variables - if all times had to be set with fully standard cars on a certain tyre (sports soft perhaps) with no aids, then it might be easier to compare times and stuff. If you wanted to keep the mods, then it might be an idea to include the PP of the car that did the time so people don't have a better or worse car. Also, i'm guessing that these times were recording in practice mode, as the physics are different between practice and online.

my fastest time with the red bull is in the 3:50's with the aero up on full. will have to check later, got 5:01 with the ferrari F2007 then i think my next fastest is the bentley speed 8 with a 5:40 though i'd have to check whether that was with the turbo mod (doesn't give a great deal of power on that car though)

Wow, early three's is very quick indeed.

I did some faster times than that in the redbull, but I found it hard to keep on the road, and it voids the lap if you miss a corner or hit a barrier. Its so fast you have to drive by the force, if you wait to see what you have to do its already happened. Which is a driving style I wasn't quite used too. I had a s/w on loan which is now returned to the other. Shall start again next month when I get a new one.

@Norbury90. Good call on the points, I did actually think about that, didn't occur to me last night, was staying in with the mother of all hangovers. Will post up points tomorrow.
