Trumpet base..
Discussion
Hi all,
Slowly getting things together with my rebuild and have noticed that the trumpet base has probably been played with. Reason I say this is all the trumpets are numbered, scratched on the side of the trumpets and one of the trumpets is not fully home in the base. Guessing either it was cut to short or someone couldn't press it home.
Does anyone have a drawing or dimensions I could use to see what I need to do to put right.
Thanks,
BBT.

Usually if you bung the whole assembly in the oven at 100 degrees or do for half an hour the alloy expands and allows you to pull the trumpets out.
The trumpets are all the same length but the central 4 sit slightly higher in the base (there are steps cast-in so they can only go in so far).
If they're numbered, is it because they're oversize and have had their rims cut to allow them all in?
