Wedding Music Help Needed
Discussion
Right you musically minded chaps, need a little help if you can as my own knowledge is somewhat limited!
Getting married next month and some of the music choices are proving somewhat difficult. We've been told that we need the following, 15-20 minutes for before the ceremoney, something short to walk into, something short to walk out to, and 7-8 minutes of background stuff during the ceremoney for when we're signing things.
The walk in stuff is sorted (Elbow - Day like This) and the walk out is sorted (Bryan Ferry - Stick together) but neither of us know any calming sort of background music suitable for this kind of thing. I have found one piece called I Giorni of piano stuff that I really like that might work.
Anybody else know anything else, maybe someone who know's their classical stuff? Or does anyone maybe know good any instrumental versions of popular songs we could play back to back?

Ludovico Einaudi is the man. Get on YouTube and search for him. He has done loads of stuff. Sign away for hours.
Try this (different stuff depending on the mood you want):

Any other suggestions chaps? It doesn't have to be piano based stuff, just some relaxing background stuff.

We are having various Vitamin String Quartet songs as background music
Nice. Music wasn't a big priority for us so we've got no live stuff and spent elsewhere but we probably ought to have something to listen to!

Bit different anyway, wish I'd found this before as I'd have used it at ours. We had classical background music, just various things we liked and as I'm Scottish we mixed in some not OTT stuff from the Royal Scots Guards.

Are you meaning music to be played during the ceremony, or incidental music when you're signing the register?Anybody else know anything else, maybe someone who know's their classical stuff? Or does anyone maybe know good any instrumental versions of popular songs we could play back to back?
Actually, just thinking about it, I'll have a punt on some "incidental Stuff" that - for me personally - would be ideal wedding fare (so to speak)
The Act 3 Entr'acte to Carmen
Elevazione by Zipoli
Salut d'Amour by Elgar
Berceuse in D Flat by Chopin
Sheep May Safely Graze by J.S. Bach
The Bluebird by Stanford
Maybe that's the sort of stuff you're after?
ETA: Ah. Yes. Just re-reading your OP, it was incidental music during the signing of the register. That's what I had in mind with the above suggestions. Phew! Congratulations, BTW. Hope you both have a great day.
