The leather gaitor around the gearstick is coming unstuck (well what a surprise!). Looks as though it should be easy enough to re-glue but I'm not sure what glue is the best to use. I assume that it needs to be a contact adhesive like Bostick (preferably clear or at least translucent) but it must stay stuck in high temperature. Can anybody recommend one to use? Also, what is the best way of removing excess glue left behind by those nice people in Blackpool?

What model? On Griffs and Chimps it's held by a bit of bent wire (NB no TVR on your profile!).

T350c. Only picked it up yesterday so I am likely to spend the next week or so getting to know the car and fixing a few niggling problems. So far as I can tell the gaiter is only fixed with glue. Probably would be classified as high tech these days if only they used a glue that actually stayed stuck !!!

Evo stick is clear and bonds leather well. Excess glue should peel off or just rub it off by rolling it into little balls with your finger. Rich...
