Santa pod has just got even better. The worlds best (by narrow minded people anyway)has a charge now to pitch your tent aswell as paying to get in. Is that true?

Wish it would just focus on drag racing to. Id go to a theme park to see the side shows. The teams/racecars are excellent there. Lets hope that stays main priority.

Santa Pod offers outstanding value for money. I took advantage of the early bird offer in january and booked my tickets for The Main Event, Thunderball and European Finals meeting. Even by booking in advance of each meeting it offers great value. If you do wait and pay on the gate it is still a lot of bang for bucks imo.

Contrast this with 1 day at the Silverstone Classic last sunday at £50 on the gate. It is the same story for the likes of Goodwood and the Grand Prix is also ridiculously expensive.

We have nothing whatsoever to moan about!

I think the OP probably thought there was a fiver per night camping fee, just a misunderstanding is all.

OP = Opening Poster .... SPR charged people with a raceday only ticket a fiver to stay overnight at the Main Event so they could get an early start, the same applies to raceday ticket holders for the Euro's, they can tip up on the Saturday night and pay a bluenote to stay over 'til raceday. There's no mystery or conspiracy here chap, I wouldn't flinch at paying a fiver to camp over the night before my ticket was good for, all the evening entertainment, the buzz, the pitwalk etc. etc. etc. ... for a 500 pence ? It's a no brainer.

Yes i now. Thats why when i had the oportunity when I was a teenager I should of persude drag racing further. To substitute that Ive traveled to America for PCSA and NHRA in the past to get more out of it as a spectator aswell as the FIA. I was totaling about 25-30 events a year everywhere. Think its quite understandable "It wont be the same" after going to all those events. Was getting to the point where racing was going over my head and I wasnt taking it in as much.
