Budget c.2-3k ,a watch that I can use very day ,swim with, and is tough enough to withstand my clumsiness.
I have an iwc ingenieur amg which is a lovely watch but frankly the strap is garbage,im on my 4th strap as the supposedly Kevlar strap disintergrates in water, which is a bit silly in a waterproof watch.
The cost of a metal bracelet for it is near enough £1000 so I figure for the extra I might as well get a new watch.

G-shock!

I'll happily play watch conkers against the above Sinn... winner takes all. Although, what I will do with a smashed up Sinn, I have no idea.

Ballistic claim to make tough watches, too.

Seconded. Why spend anything more than £50 - £100 or so? The rest can be spent on something a bit sexier.

I would like to see that battle, sure the plastic would break before the steel.

G-shock Cockpit Diver - full metal... which I wouldn't want to damage your watch with.

However, I have a plastic G-shock I don't mind destroying if you're up for it. biggrin

An interesting video for you:

I would suggest a TAG 1500 series and £1500 - £2500 change. I've had mine as my every day watch for 16 years and it hasn't missed a beat
