Someone posted a link on another thread that makes rather sobering reading

What are peoples opinions on Apple's future? Worth putting money into?

Currently the most valuable brand in the world, took over google who had been #1 for the past 4 years.
I think people will be happy if they keep money in Apple for the next 5 years or so anyway, only the death of Steve Jobs (due to his bad health) may make the stock fall noticeably I imagine.
I believe they are looking into television next incorporating their iOS a little. Baring in mind they already make Apple TV, and nice screens (cinema display) it wouldn't take a genius to work out they can chew a section into this market too if they wish as multimedia gets more integrated.
I wouldn't be surprised if they got involved with the console market at a later date too (but when games evolve to download only - similar to what the xbox 360 and PS3 offer now - but without the hardware option). They already have the software and servers to deal with this (iTunes). So it would be the next obvious step.
I'd happily put money in the company if I had it.

I would and have but you'll probably need to wait for a market correction as the only thing it seems that drives Apple down (other than Steve jobs health) is a general market correction.
In April they were 350 and I waited in June bought in at ave 330. To buy now given the relief over debt may mean missing a lower buy-in but DYOR.
I read of Ford, different type of co but reckoned to be approx 25% upside, again just my bit,

I was reading about this too.....given IPTV is where the world is going it's a natural progression for them. I can see them killing that market given how everyone loves the Apple "look".They're also apparently doing very well in China....this made me laugh http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-14236786
I keep thinking about buying the shares but hoping for a dip.....reminds me very much of Microsoft shares back in the mid 90's.
