I found the receipt for the original order and it was from a company that no longer trades - proseal plastics UK. It appears like it was a custom order.

Can anyone help identify the door system from my profile picture and recommend a company around herts/bucks/beds that would be able to fix/replace the lock on it.

The original order description that the previous owners ordered was:

White Aluminium Multifold door system incorporating Loe 'E' clear glass with suaspacer and argon filled to cavity. Open out system, viewed from inside opening from left to right. 5 panel configuration all units fold one way. (not sure how helpful that is to be honest)

I have more photos, if they would be useful.

Is it the key lock/barrel that you need to replace? If so it should be a simple enough job to remove to source a new one. More pics would help.

I had to get some 'odd' handles for a UPVC door the other week, and got them from this company on Ebay:-

They seem to do a good range of odd bits which may include the part you are looking for...

Thanks chaps, very useful.

The handle pieces look roughly something like the below:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hoppe-Tilt-Slide-Patio-D...

The part that is broken is in the lock. The metal bar between the two handles is 4 sided like the one on the ebay link, but the piece that it slots into has broken and doesn't turn unless using a wide screw driver. This piece only appears to have 3 sides left when I peer into the lock.

Turning would usually result in one bar going up out of the top of the door, and one bar going down out of the bottom of the door to lock it into place. At the moment the bottom bar is in the down/locked position (but can be raised/unlocked via screw driver method), and the top bar is permanently stuck in the down/unlocked position.

I will take some more pics as well.

Are you saying that the mechanism that the bar goes into is broke on the handle?. Or is it broke on the metal on the inside of the door?.

If it is the handle then this is all you need to replace, but if it is on the inside then if memory serves me right you need to replace the full multilock strip.

It has been a while since i played my role in upvc fitting and fabricating.

Andy - it's the part inside the door that's broken, looks like the whole mechanism will be need to be replaced.

Thanks for both links, just have a look now.
