I thought Tuscans were supposed to be pretty close to published weight.

Am at 1140 kg (drive on and then got out, so No driver)

i know the T56 box is 30kg more than the T5 but with it being right in the center of the car and i wanted the double OD box, i was prepared to live with that

but i dont think this car was 1100kg before i started converting it

It will have been about that. The 1080 figure quoted above is the universal weight quoted by TVR for all models - yes, all, not just Tuscans...

PH people have weighed a variety of cars over the years and the one thing that seems to be consistent is that the weights of any particular model vary by about +/- 100kgs. If you want the weight of your car pre-conversion I'm afraid you're snookered. Based on many snippets of info over the years I'd say your conversion will have added about 75kg =/- 25kg.

1180kg on my corner scales (no driver). 2001 Tuscan 4.0 all stock 25% fuel. Pretty much 50%/50% front to rear weight distribution, almost within a thenth. Cross balance was a bit out on my car.

75 kg seams a lot
gearbox is 30kg more and engine is 12kg less aircon nolonger fitted (5kg less)
so would have expected car to gain 15kg

just wondered how "wet" the 1100kg from TVR were, oil, water, fuel ?

Of the official chassis data sheets I've seen they listed wet wieght as
Total: 20l fuel + 75kg driver (approx) . I seem to recall that 1litre of fuel is 1Kg.
Cerb listed as 1375Kgs and T350C as 1214Kgs using the fuel+driver specs.

So not that close to 1100kg

I bet there is a fair bit of difference tuscan to tuscan with hand layup and different mods.

I'll try to put mine on a weighbridge

My Tuscan, measured on the weihgbridge during the SVA, with a standard Speed Six. So 1160kg in total.

45 liters of fuel, no driver. They measured it "wet but empty" for the SVA tests...
