Christohper Ward
Discussion
I'm looking for a nice watch (black face, chronograph type, automatic, leather strap) but can't afford £thousands.
I've seen the Christopher Ward site and they look like really nice watches and are within a price range that I could afford. Additionally it's a British company and I like to support Brits where possible.
Do any of the PH watch experts give any informed opinion on them?
Cheers

Well I am definately not a watch expert but for what its worth i have 1 of their C7 quartz ones and a C2LE automatic and find both to be well made (to my eye)and to date reliable.
Prices seem to be going up quite quickly but there are some good offers to be had on the sales pages at times. The ability to try the one you like and return it within 60 days if it is not what you wanted must be woth a go.

Thanks for the replies so far guys.
Question is, can I really justify dropping £650 on a watch..? I love this one: http://www.christopherward.co.uk/c40skk.html#

Great watch, have one myself but with the aligator strap. Tend to wear my green sub as a daily wear now so can't remember the last time I wore it. Might be time to change it?Question is, can I really justify dropping £650 on a watch..? I love this one: http://www.christopherward.co.uk/c40skk.html#

Just seen their new C700 on an email, looks nice - but £860 on the bracelet?
For that money, I think I'd look elsewhere.
+1 their prices are slowly creeping up towards more established brandsFor that money, I think I'd look elsewhere.
Hamilton, Tissot, Oris. Sinn only just creeps in. Tag with quartz. Who else?

I have this, it's stunning and I'm very pleased with it. It is not automatic though.
