Bought some hi-res pics of me at a track day at Bedford Autodrome on Monday. Does anyone know of any basic image editing software that I can download which will allow me to resize them to a more sensible size for e-mailing?
Use Windows "Paint" and use:
Image/stretch-skew
Then select the same percentage in both horizontal and vertical.
should do the trick.

Excellent! Thank you, but why the yikes face?
I assume you're not using XP then ??
If you are You can open them in the veiwer (double click from explorer) then there's a button on the bottom (second from the right) "close this and open for editing" (when you hover over it)
Then there's a menu on the top, go to image -> resize -> click the drop down box to get pixels not CM or % and change to whatever you want file -> save as job done

the suggestion to use Paint, very scary
the above does them in batches as well, which is very handy!

Hey, I was only trying to help!!!
Paint will do the job, and you don't have to download/install anything (useful if you are at work on a machine with no admin rights!)
Personally, I use Photoshop.... which of course isn't free
