As per title, what are the collective views on Ingersoll as a brand, & are their movements any good?
Indeed, do they use their own or buy them in?

Been really smitten with the looks of the Stetson model, especially at the price, but don't want to buy if what is inside is a pile of scrap!

Bought an Ingersoll last year. Very good timekeeper, nice pice (imo) gets a good bit of wrist time.

they will almost certainly be chinese movements - the layout looks mighty similar to Parnis' and Tao International offerings and sorry to say more expensive.

Chinese movements can be good, bad, indifferent, nature of the beast - their quality assurance processes will be less rigorous and as such iffy ones will happen - not sure if ingersol do any additional QA, but I wouldn't bank on it.

I have 4 chinese movement watches and all have been more than adequate timekeepers.

I have the above and probably exactly the same movement as the Stetson

also search Parnis - probably similar ones here
