Have just been to a Local Lotus dealer, the story is that the delivery times on a new car are in short supply due to US, and that it second hand are also hard to get hold of.
I am after '04 111s model with Aircon.
No doubt a bit of sales talk in there but what is the consensus?
Thanks

The very new ones I guess might be hard to source second hand, you'd have to be pretty odd to buy an open top sports car and sell it before the sunshine came out in a year. Given the shit trade-ins from dealers of late though, I imagine you could get a slightly older 111S if you don't mind losing tat like electric windows. There's also a classified section on www.seloc.org, although most cars up there tend to be on PH too.

Well we have no elises for immediate delivery, last month has wiped the stock we did have out, Summer is here!
Can aircon be fitted by a dealer? If so, why not buy a low mile 2002/3 111S for around the £20 - £21k mark and have this done?
My dealer actually advised against aircon as it saps some power - plus if it gets hot you should have the roof off & be driving faster - you wouldn't be hot for long. Ironically the aircon is much more useful as a heater in the winter though!
I don't think there's much point with electric windows - they're so small that it takes about a second to wind them down manually, it's one thing less to break and I think the switches look very much like an afterthought whereas the alloy winders fit in with the interior better.
