Subaru Forester / Impreza help

Can anyone help me? I have just got a 2003 Forester as my runaround and the seats and brakes are nasty I was looking to bolt some STI Impreza seats and the gold Brembo brake kit onto it - will they fit ???

I doubt the brembos will fit behind the wheels. Also the PCD may be different so you wont be able to put STi wheels on which have the clearance...

WRX brakes and pads fit behind the 16 inch wheels

It has forged BBS 17" alloys and i'm buying 18" Rotas so i'm sure i would have enough clearance. It is the seats i'm more worried about !

You're going to have to look at the seat runners on a set of Impreza seats to match them to yours. Foresters use the Impreza floor pan and subframes so it may well be a straight swap for all i know.

I've sat in newer Foresters and i quite like the seats. Not bum hugging but very comfortable indeed.

Cool, I will take a chance on the seats then i'm too young for 'comfy' seats - I have some lovely ones outa a forester black leather , armrests etc if you want them ??

I wonder if they would fit my Surf?

I was toying with the idea of fitting my WRX seats in the Surf but my arse is getting bigger so i think i need a seat with more girth!!

Yeap seats should be a straight swap from a Newage to an XT.

When you say the brakes are nasty what do you mean?

If the performance isn't as you'd wish I would start with some uprated pads, swap the rubber hoses for braided (Hel, Goodridge, etc) and put in some semi-race spec brake fluid rather than jumping straight into STi brakes.
