Thought you'd appreciate this, taken from my weekend wheels. An acknowledgement of your superior watch/car crossover based knowledge for the first person to correctly guess what (make and model) it resides in.

I think we've pretty much got there collectively. CLS 63 AMG.

I hadn't realised that Merc put IWC clocks into their cars. Much fun ensued changing the time from 12:01 to 11:59 - it goes all the way round.

A no cost option on AMG cars, but then at £81k, you'd want something a bit posh to tell the time, wouldn't you...

I suspect it's a standard clock with a dial by IWC.

I only say that as the Breitling clock in the Jag is just a standard clock with a Breitling designed (and signed) dial, the Bremont clock featured in the Jaguar [insert number sequence for the gas turbine powered Jag concept] was really designed and built by Bremont, however I can't remember whether it was manual or automatic....

Yep, I'm sure that's the case. Otherwise how could it set itself upon instruction from the computer?

Made me quite sad actually - I thought IWC were better than that. I guess that by adding "ingenieur" to the dash then they can claim that it is in some way technologically advanced.

IWC have been in a few Mercedes over the last few years, starting with the S63/65 AMG. The sad thing is a lot of our customers haven't got a clue what an IWC is!
