Newbie - Colchester, Essex - Caterham R400

Been a lurker for years, but finally got around to actually joining up.

Look forward to meeting some like minded enthusiasts, especially as I've just got a Caterham R400 which I'm looking to track anywhere not too far from Colchester.

Woodbridge with Javelin is not far and a good starter track. I bomb round their in my Scooby, and my mate comes in his Caterham. Cottesmore is also good and we are possibly heading up there on the 11th September.

I'll book Woodbridge up right away, roll on Saturday.

I only picked the car up on Wed, and took it to Bedford on Sat, but got thrown off after just 1 lap. We broke the 87.5 db drive by limit!

I wanted to go Saturday, but I am going to see Iron Maiden instead

It's 102db at Woodbridge which is fine even for my Impreza! They dont enforce a drive by limit either...

Hello and welcome from a former Caterham (R300) owner - Bedford is nominal for all but the quietest Caterhams but you can buy bigger and quieter exhausts to try and get the noise down. If you haven't already, worth taking a look at or joining the Lotus 7 Club - they have dedicated forums and a wealth of owner experience for all things Caterham
