Belting along the M4 today, put the radio on, why did I bother, with the roar of the V8, the whine of the fuel pump, the wind noise on a poor fitting hood, and strange whirling sounds from the passenger foot well, I had to turn the radio up so load it hurt my ears!

I like to have the radio on to keep me awake when coming from the Eurotunnel terminal in Calais late at night with the most boring 300 km drive known to mankind - I mean the engine sounds fantastic but sitting at 3000ish rpm with light throttle for hours on end does not tend to achieve that...

Of course ever since I upgraded my head unit I now have some sort of ground problem (?) that has no effect on the stereo working as it should with the engine off, and renders it unlistenable with it running. grumpy

Sadly it was overcast when I drove past Cardiff today so hood up.

The fuel pump whining is a "they all do that sir" situation. It reminds me of tinnitus :-) which was caused by load music in my youth so I've come full circle.

Had a new clutch fitted last week, drives sooooooo much better.

When I bought my chim it had 2k's worth of stereo fitted in it but I've now sold the tv headunit and put a blanking plate in cos I never used the radio as you can't beat the sound of a 5.0 v8!
