We have a Bosch washing machine E-nr wet2820GB / 13 FD 8101 0017. Recently it has started making an unusual, very loud 'crunching' noise during the wash cycle, it then stops on 'main wash', with the 'On' and 'Door' lights on, and the 'Anti-Crease' button flashing. Also, the display panel (that looks like the drying time?) seems to be stuck on '1' possible error code??

We have managed to open the door and drain the machine, but we are still unsure as to what the fault is or whether it is easier to just replace it. The machine is not draining the water or spinning/drying the clothes, and the loud clicking crunching noise sounds like a dodgy starter motor..

How old is it, if you suspect its the motor check the brushes. Its a 10 minute job to replace (once you have the machine on its back)

Does the flashing light have a "pattern" to it? If so count the number of flashes between pauses and that will be the fault code..........
