Car Selling - sound like a scam?

I am currently selling my E36 328i Sport. I received an email from an interested party. No hugely obvious signs of any untoward, but it seems a bit strange that he is willing to buy a car without even seeing it, and have it shipped from London to Ireland. It is only for sale for £1,500, so it hardly seems the hassle of importing it. I don't think I am going to proceed until I have at least spoken to him on the phone.


This was the last email I received

''Thanks for the your mail,i will like you to know that am an
oceanographer and am busy now to come and view the car in person,But i
have taken my time to view the Pictures of The car and am satisfied
with the conditions that is attached with the Automobile,and am
willing to buy the car for my Uncle who resides in North Ireland and
am willing to pay at the said price and including the shipment
arrangement as i consider it a fair and reasonable offer, i will want
you to delete the add on the site as i am very serious in buying the
Automobile from you,i will also like you to know that i will be paying
the Funds to you through PayPal Email account or bank transfer which i
consider is appropriate means for me now,kindly get back to me with
your PayPal email account or your Bank details so that i can proceed
with the immediate payment of the funds to your account,and as for the
shipping of the car to my Uncle in North Ireland,i have arrange with a
Reliable company that will Handle the Shipment of the Franchise at my
own expense,they will be the one to Sign any necessary document on my
behalf and they can also test drive and service the car before the
shipment so i will need to have your residential Address for the pick
up of the car so that i can forward the your address to the Agents so
they can locate you when they come for the picking up of the car....

No, it's completely legit. Quick send them your email address, bank details, address, D.O.B, place of birth, mother's maiden name and your driving licence number.

There was a 2004 plate Nissan 350Z on sale here yesterday for £2500 (yes really). I dutifully sent off an e mail enquiry, only to receive in this mornings in-box an E mail from someone living in Germany, with a UK registered car, wanting my shipping details to arrange a transfer of the car over to me.

Its probably a scam, well documented on the right hand side toolbar in your classifieds section where you manage your ads.
