Very nice collection, love the 7 and the Spider! Plus would love to see pics of that prototype when it's done, bet you'll get into some prestigious events with that!

The car is being assembled as we speak.

is it the camera angles or is the beach car missing a chunk of roof at the rear end?

The roof is complete. It is actually a couple of inches longer than a normal Mini roof.

ok, I just can't see that in either of the photos...just the camera angle then.

Was that a proper Mini prototype from the factory?

Edit:

Decent story ... http://www.aronline.co.uk/blogs/2010/12/16/classic...

What's the latest though on the lack of a VIN?

Now that's a collection.

The beach car is the sort of thing you could drive to Monaco and be sure to turn more heads than anything else on 4 wheels.

Drive to Monaco from a mile outside Monaco perhaps. Otherwise it'd just be your barnet and windburn which would turn heads!

Funny thing you mention this. One of the 14 production cars has ended up in Monaco. It even has an old-style telephone in front of the passenger seat.
