So, what are these going for then? we're looking at a 52 plate with 84k, FSH, dark blue on cream leather with blue dash......details are third hand at the mo but more to come

Research here - www.alpina-archive.com & www.thealpinaregister.com - both have "for sales".

I'm guessing e39 5 series? Choices, would be 3.2, 3.3 6 cylinder - manual/auto, or 4.6 V8 auto, 4.8 V8S auto. Saloons, mainly, tourings rarely. Standard e39 checks needed, + make sure any Alpina stuff is both there & kosher, as those tend to be the pricey bits, & might be swapped for replicas. Properly serviced & tended to, happy with big miles, as always with cars into their second decade, check the owner(s) & the history as much as the mileage.
