I have recently acquired the .com address for a current .co.uk site I run.
I want to have the site accessible on the .com site to attract more foreign visitors without loosing the .co.uk site.

Are there any issues to be aware of here (google related or otherwise)? Is it just a case of redirecting the .com to the .co.uk? Will both be indexed by the search engines? Could having a .com page redirecting be seen as a doorway and "bad" by google?

Any thoughts appreciated.

Thanks
Sam

I don't believe the SEs consider this a doorway page.

But, rather than having a redirect, you could always get the .com added as a second host header to your virtual server allowing both URLs to work.

I would second that - we have .co.uk and .com both pointing to the same IP address.

No way would google see a redirect as bad if you do want to go that way.
