His and Her cars?

I've noticed a chap who lives on the next street seem to have quite a nice setup of cars.
He previously had setup of - Mk2 MR2 and Toyota Corolla 8th Gen in the Dark Toyota green colour. Unfortunately about a year or two ago I saw the Green Corolla on a big tow truck.
Always admired how tidy the car was when I drove past.
Then he gets another Mk2 MR2, this time in red. Again, very nice car, and very tidy looking. (My thoughts are this guy must really like MR2's) But recently I've noticed that the old Corolla is now gone. And is replaced by what I see/think as a Toyota Corolla 9th Gen T-sport in Red.
I'm always guessing that the MR2's for him and the Corolla's for the OH. It just seems to me that the household cars are quite matching in the they are the same manufacturer and the same colour setup. I think its quite nice.
Any PHers have a car setup in the family which compliments/matches each another?
I think for a while my brother was joking of getting a Fiat 500 to match his Fiancee's one, but I think he's been talked out of it, thankfully. :P

Her Lexus RX300 - big, wafty, good for family / DIY / hobby stuff, addicted to Shell forecourts, throws me the odd bill in true bargain barge style
My Auris - cheapo snotter for leaving in carparks, cheap to run, easy to drive/park when nipping into town, leave it anywhere, 100% reliable
Caterham - fast, yellow, loud, a bit stupid, great for track days, never actually costs me much but is often in bits while a source a part.

My Rover SD1 Vitesse. The wife will drive it but finds it a bit of a challenge after discovering what wet roads, live rear axles, too much gas and a corner means - a perfectly executed 180 neatly between parked cars and a high bank. He also doesn't like her, won't start, stubbornly refuses to go into 3rd gear, and turns his intermittent wipers off. Never gives me any trouble at all.
Her Range Rover P38 4 litre. Haven't worked out whether it likes her or not yet. It started to misbehave within a week of me buying from a mate for whom it's worked perfectly for 3 years.
Shared (actually mine) Classic Saab 900 Turbo. I think it tolerates her although a couple of months ago it decided to blow up its gearbox on the end of the M32 in the outside lane - guess who was driving it at the time.
Thing is she's quite a good driver although after the Rover incident I did suggest booking her onto an advance vehicle control course.

Old neighbours had Golf GTi's, one each, always black, his was usually one generation newer as they passed the older one on, went on like this for years
Me, well I've a BMW Alpina B10 and the OH, a BMW 116i,
both in silver, although mine's titan silver and hers is not.

Hers : C4 blue (Rather a nice, inky blue actually - Full marks Citroen for such a nice colour)
Little Hers : Pink Scooter!
No common thread there at all and probably never will be, the missus and I don't really like the same kind of cars.

My OH and I are bad examples of this 
we have a mk2 MR2 each, mine red, hers blue. We even went one further - mine has a 01 sticker on the side window, hers 02 (& the family car has 03). We were at the Rolls-Royce Sunday Service though apparently nobody found them interesting enough to take a picture of (I can't really begrudge it, though, we were parked next to a Murcielago and a 458 Italia).
We just both like MR2s, and driving rather than passengering plus we have two children so actually rather practical.
We just treat them as one car that only gets 14mpg and pays horrific road tax

She wanted a MINI Cooper and it had to be an auto, so we got one. I then traded my Megane in for an Elise as I wanted something fun and manual for the long summer evenings.
Of course this meant that I ended up using the MINI to get to work so I guess they're less "His and Hers" and more "His and Theirs"...

Then we'll be the epitome of "His 'n' Hers"... an E36 coupe apiece.
Not sure we'll bother with matching the plates, though.
