Rear Tyres BMW 120D

Hi all
I bought Bridgestone RE050A for our car and they really havent lasted on the rear 10k if we are lucky, can anyone recommend tyres that what give us a bit more life.

Michelin PS2's lasted well on the CSL so should also do so on the 120,

Think these have been replaced with pilot super sports now, which according to something I read are supposed to last even better (or so Michelin say).

Haven't yet changed the originals on my 123d. Nearly 14k miles, I must have a light foot

Cheers for the replies I think Michelins seem the way forward I have Pirelli on my company BM and they seem to have lasted an age 20k plus granted its alot less power

I have Pirelli euforia's on mine, rubbish. I'd recommend the Michelins as above, great on my other cars.

If you're not on runflats, the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 is worth checking out too!

I always got reasonable mileage out of Continetal runflats on my 120d.

Is it the whole tyre wearing or just the middle or endges - I know runlfats are sensitve to tyre pressures.

It does just sound like you are driving properly though, do you have the TC turned off a lot.

I have recently bought a 120d M Sport as an AUC car. It had both rear tyres changed before sale at 15,000 miles, both being just under the 3mm AUC limit. They were presumably the original tyres. I would say that rear tyres wearing out at 10K is a sign of passionate driving!

I have Bridgestone RE50A runflats all round, they seem fine to me.

It's my wife's car though she does like her right foot I don't think she rags it though it did just seem we have been a bit unlucky with the return

I managed over 70k out of two sets of RFT Bridgestone rears

70k jeez we really are doing something wrong, fronts are fine as you would expect.

Michelin Super Sport
Goodyear F1 Asymetric 2
Falken FK452
and do I risk Bridgestone again

If it's your wifes car the Pilot Super Sport is probably a bit extreme ( http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Article/Michelin-Pilo... ), the Pilot Sport 3 would be a more sensible consideration.
