When part exchanging a car with a dealer is it the norm to remove the road tax or is this seen as part of the deal? I am thinking of px'ing my car but don't want to keep the tax.
If a deal has been done with no mention of the tax would you keep the tax or let it go?
I just traded my car in with 4 months tax remaining and the dealership handed the tax disk back to me. I suppose if the car was to sit on a forecourt for a few months the tax would have become worthless anyway...
