Wifes car is due a inspection II, in about 4 months
It has a Inchape warranty with it, so i wanted to get it in before it ran out
Booked in at Bond street select

Been quoted £270 for inspection II (Mini coopers S JCW)
Then £50 inclusive for brake and coolant change, so £320 for the whole lot

that sound ok price wise?

I know its about £270 at the stealers, but i dont trust what they say in what needs changing, i.e new brakes discs etc

If i'm honest, i wont use them again.
Not that they were bad, just didnt give me much confidence

They couldnt really explain why they charged me an extra £50 labour, to check out a electric window issue, and to check out the sump gasket (they just tightened the bolts up a tad)

The bill came to £350 i think, £100 of that was spark plugs!!
They couldnt find anything wrong with the steering column, even though it knocks when warm.
They didnt spot i didnt have run flat tyres on

They charged me for topping up the window screen washer, even though i knew it was full
sounds petty, but nevertheless, the trust has gone.
I dont think they can justify calling themselves Mini specialists, and although i knew the basic price before i went in, its the same as the main dealer
In Hindsight, i should of used the main dealer to keep the service book FMSH.

And on my way out, another customer told me, he had just had his brakes done and when he drove off, he had no brakes.

Next time, i will use main dealer, or travel to mini 1320 or something? I heard there is a good one in Derby?
