The Italian F1 team Ferrari and their associate Shell showed charming testing last week, Shell V-Power fuel you put in your road car is in any way the same to the Shell V-Power race fuel used by the Ferrari F1 team at each F1 race.
Formula 1 governing body, FIA regulations instruct that F1 race fuels must be composed of compounds normally found in commercial fuels, but there are some tightly controlled areas where they can innovate with additives for more power or to control temperatures and such like. A lot of work goes into this.
